Discussion & Documentation:

Jost Bäcker, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Anna Katharina are recorded on the 1767 census of Grimm in Household No. 53 along with orphan Johann Konrad Waffel (age 19). The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Bäcker and Waffel families.

Jost Becker and his family are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 130 along with his brother Johann Peter (age 18).

It is not known where Johann Peter Becker appears on the 1767 census.

In 1790, Johann Peter Becker moved from Grimm to Kraft.

The 1767 census records that Jost Bäcker came from the German region of Darmstadt.
