Johann Heinrich Böhmersheim, a weaver, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Vergelte Weintraube under the command of Skipper Anderson.

It appears that only the oldest son, also named Johann Heinrich, survived to settle in the Volga German colony of Warenburg. He is recorded there along with his wife on the 1767 census in Household No. 13.

The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Böhmersheim came from the German village of Wilsbach in the Darmstadt area.
