Beutel (Yagodnaya Polyana-2)
Johann Heinrich Beutel, a farmer, and his wife Maria Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the snow-brig Die Frau Dietrika under the command of Skipper Joachim Friedrich Luhn.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Yagodyana Polyana on 16 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 51 along with his father-in-law Johann Heinrich Görlitz.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Heinrich Beutel came from the German region of Darmstadt while the 1767 census records that he came from the German region of Nidda.
Georg Kromm's research published in 1912 records that the Beutel family came from the German village of Wallernhausen.
