Discussion & Documentation:

Johann Joachim Christiani, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard the galliot Der Jan under the command of Skipper Markus Dragun.

He has not been located on the 1767 or 1798 censuses, but those believed to be his descendants are recorded on the 1834 Census of Dehler in Household No. 54.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Joachim Christiani came from the German region of Mecklenburg.
