Wilhelm Diemer, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard an English frigate under the command of Skipper Adam Beerfeier.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Basel where he is recorded on the 1798 census in Household No. Bs47.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that he came from the German region of Darmstadt.
