Johann Nikolaus Emich, a single farmer, is recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou along with a note that he settled in the Volga German colony of Kind in 1768.

In 1792, Johannes Emerich moved from Kind to Näb.

The 1767 census records that Johann Nikolaus Emich came from the German region of Darmstadt.
