Discussion & Documentation:
Arnestus Fuchs, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Dehler on 1 July 1767. Arnestus, his wife Elisabeth, and daughter Elisabeth (age 8) are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 8.
The 1767 census records that this family came from the German village of Reifenberg in Bassenheim.
This Fuchs family does not appear to have any male descendants so the surname does not continue among the Volga German colonies.
