Johannes Göbel, a stocking maker (Strumpfwirker), his wife Margaretha, and son Anton (age 2) are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Beauregard in Household No. 15 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Biberstein in 1768.
The 1767 census records that Johannes Göbel came from the German village of Roth.
