Jakob Göbel, a carpenter (Zimmermann), and his wife Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Hölzel in Household No. 46. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 46.
The 1767 census records that Jakob Göbel came from the German village of Morbach in the Trier region.
