Christoph Günther, a single farmer (age 21), is recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 124.

It is not known in which colony he settled.

The 1767 census records that Christoph Günther came from the German region of Brandenburg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Günther family among the Volga German colonies.
