Margaretha Grassmann (age 10) and her sister Louisa (age 6) are recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 128 along with their stepfather Karl Christian Westhausen. They had settled there on 3 August 1767.
The 1767 census does not record from where the Grassmann sisters came.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Grassmann among the Volga German colonies.
