Christian Hefter, a farmer, and his wife Eva arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Rosenheim on 27 June 1767 where Christian is recorded as a widower on the 1767 census in Household No. 68.
The 1767 census records that Christian Hefter came from the German village of Festsolzig in Sachsen (Saxony).
