Jakob Heinrich, a farmer, and his wife Magdalena settled in the Volga German colony of Dinkel on 12 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 20.

The 1767 census records that Jakob Heinrich came from the German village of Klostob in the Holstein region.
