Discussion & Documentation:

There are two Herr families referenced in documents of Boisroux. It is not known whether they are related to each other.

(1) In 1771, widow Anna Maria Herr moved from Boisroux and married Andreas Schäfer in Philippsfeld. She took her son Christian with her.

The 1798 census of Philippsfeld records widow Johanna [sic] Maria Schäfer in Household No. Pp07 and that she is living with relatives in Basel where her son Christian Herr is working.

(2) In 1787, Andreas Herr moved from Boisroux to Herzog. He is recorded there on the 1798 census in Household No. Hr23.
