Franz Hochstädter, a farmer, his wife Susanna, and daughter Anna Maria (age ½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Volmer in Household No. 37. They had settled there on 18 July 1766.

The widow and daughter of Franz Hochstädter are recorded on the 1798 census of Volmer in Household No. Vm15.

Johannes Hochstädter is recorded on the 1798 census of Volmer in Household No. Vm34 along with his sister and brother-in-law Johannes Hauer.

In 1832, Heronimous Hochstädter and his brother Georg moved to Rothammel and are recorded there on the 1834 census in Household No. 99.

The 1767 census of Volmer records that Franz Hochstädter came from the German village of Hardheim in the Würzburg region.
