Friedrigh Holzfogt, a wagon maker (Wagenbauer), his wife Anna, and daughter Elisabeth (age 2-weeks) are recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 153. They had settled there on 17 August 1767.

The 1767 census records that Friedrich Holzfogt came from the German village of Parchim in the Mecklenburg region.
