Discussion & Documentation:

There is a Heinrich Horch, a stocking maker, who arrived from L├╝beck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Vergelte Weintraube under the command of Skipper Anderson. He was travelling with several families who settled in the Volga German colony of Warenburg.

There are several Horches recorded on the 1798 census of Warenburg who are believed to be descended from this Heinrich Horch.
