Balthasar Knot, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Huck on 1 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 20.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Balthasar Knot came from the German region of Isenburg.
