Gottlieb Lehmann, a teacher (Lehrer), and his wife Eva settled in the Volga German colony of Paulskaya on 5 March 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 7 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Kaneau in 1768.
The 1767 census records that Gottlieb Lehmann came from the German village of Zeitz.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Lehmann family among the Volga German colonies.
