Lieber (Zürich)
Peter Lieber, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), his wife Katharina, and daughter Christina (age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Gabriel Wild.
They are recorded on the 1767 census in a list of Beauregard recruits (No. 32).
In 1783, Peter Lieber and his family moved from Zürich to Katharinenstadt.
The 1767 census records that Peter Lieber came from the German village of Gerbach.
