Johann Just Müller, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Beauregard on 27 August 1766.
They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 20 along with an orphan, Ernatnan Meinhardt (age 11). The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Müller and Meinhardt families.
The 1798 census of Katharinenstadt records son Simon Müller from Beauregard in Household No. Ka043.
The 1767 census records that Johann Just Müller came from the village of Fromhausen in Holland.
