Johann Heinrich Müller, a tailor (Schneider), and his wife Elisabeth are recorded on a list of Beauregard recruits appended to the 1767 census along with a note that they settled in the colony of Wittmann in 1768.

The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Müller came from the German village of Kerzenheim.
