Peter Mehm, a farmer, and his wife Anna Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the Russian galliot Strelna under the command of Lieutenant Sornev.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Pfeifer on 20 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 64.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records the Peter Mehm came from the German region of Mainz while the 1767 census records that he came from the German region of Hannover.
