Johann Philipp Nenner, a farmer, and his wife Maria settled in the Volga German colony of Susannental on 3 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 11 along with stepdaughters Maria Bergheuser (age 6) and Anna Bergheuser (age 4).
The 1767 census records that Johann Philipp Nenner came from the German village of Buch.
