Michael Regard, a farmer from Würzburg, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 31 July 1766 aboard a Russian ship under the command of Lieutenant Ilyin.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Göbel on 20 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 13.
They 1767 census records that Michael Regard came from the German village of Kervenheim in the region of Würzburg.
