Ringel (Philippsfeld)
Johann Philipp Ringel, a farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Philippsfeld on 3 August 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 12.
In 1771, Philipp Ringel and his family moved from Philippsfeld to Nieder-Monjou.
The 1767 census records that Johann Philipp Ringel came from the German village of Niederscheld.
