Carl Friedrich Maximillian Rutt, son of Conrad and Anna Cornelia Ruth, was baptized 26 February 1733 in Calbach near Büdingen. He married in Büdingen on 12 March 1766 to Elisabeth, the daughter of Johann Heinrich Wagner of Unterreichenbach, Hesse.
They arrived in Balzer on 18 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 44. His sister and brother (perhaps half-siblings) are recorded in the household of Andreas Kling, No. 43.
In 1790, Andreas Rutt moved from Balzer to Laub.
