Jeremias Strasser, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Wiebe Heinrichson.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Dehler on 11 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 36.
The 1767 census records that Jeremias Strasser came from the German village of Pamortal in the Kurpfalz.
