Johann Wendel Treitler, a farmer, and his wife Gertrude arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Seelmann on 16 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 38.
The 1767 census records that Johannes Wendel Trietler came from the German village of Ottendorf in Böhmen.
