Johann Georg Zöll, son of Eustachi Zöll, and Anna Barbara Becker, daughter of Wilhelm Becker, married in Burghaun on 17 November 1750. The parish records of Burghaun record the births of six children: (1) Johann Wilhelm, born 12 September 1751, died 21 May 1753; (2) Dorothea, born 1 September 1753; (3) Anna Maria, born 24 July 1756, died 24 December 1758; (4) Johannes, 22 July 1759; (5) Anna Barbara, 21 December 1761; and (6) Johann Georg, 18 September 1764.
Johann Georg Zell, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Johann Hermann Anderson.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Walter on 25 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 27.
The 1767 census records that Johann Georg Zell came from the German village of Burghaun.
