Heinrich Zwingmann immigrated first to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein). The family joined the migration to Russia in 1766.
Heinrich Zwingmann, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Messer on 7 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 13.
The 1767 census records that Heinrich Zwingmann came from the German district of Hannover.
