History:
Loveland is one of the oldest Colorado settlements of Volga Germans. Many of them came from Frank, Ober-Monjour, and Rosenberg, Russia along with coming from McCook, Nebraska.
The sugar refinery built in 1901 provided many jobs for Volga Germans as well as marketing opportunities for the Volga German farmers in the surrounding area.
