Tallinn, Estonia

From the 13th century until 1918 (and briefly during the Nazi occupation of Estonia from 1941 to 1944), the city was known as Reval [Rewal in German]. Reval is located in the historical German region of Estland. Today, it is called Tallinn and is located in Estonia.

Reval was also a port of departure for some of those immigrating to the Volga German colonies in the 1760s.
