Bernhardt and Anna Bauman had four children whose baptisms are recorded in the Spielberg parish records: Maria Elisabeth on 26 December 1755 (died 2 May 1756); Anna Elisabeth on 3 April 1757 (died 26 Dec 1758); Eva Elisabeth on 4 February 1759; and Anna Catharina on 20 November 1763.

The surviving members of the Bauman family immigrated to Russia, arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766.  The settled in the Volga German colony of Huck on 1 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 12.
