Johann [Simon] Baumann, a farmer, his wife Maria, and son Jakob [Benedict] (age 1½) arrived from Rewal on 30 May 1766 aboard the pink Lopamink under the command of Lueitenant Kryukov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Jost on 5 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Houseohld No. 27.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Simon Baumann came from the German town of Lübeck.
