Johannes Decker, a farmer, his wife Julianna, and children (Katharina Elisabeth, age 8; Johannes, age 3; Christian, age 1) are recorded on the 1767 census of Anton in Household No. 30. They had settled there on 18 July 1765.

In 1792, Michael Decker moved from Anton to Straub.

Johann Wilhelm Decker and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Neu-Straub in Household No. 12.

The 1767 census records that Johannes Decker came from the German village of Zweibrücken in the Kurpfalz region.
