Franz Dreiling, a farmer, his wife Barbara, and son Johannes (age 2) are recorded on the 1767 census of Louis in Household No. 42. They had arrived in Louis on 14 June 1766.

In 1798, Johannes Dreiling from Louis is recorded in Herzog living in Household No. Hr11.  Also, in 1798, Michael Dreiling from Herzog is recorded in Rohleder in Household No. Rl13.

The 1767 census records that Franz Dreiling came from the German village of Karlstadt in the region of Würzburg.
