Johann Heinrich Hof(f)mann, son of Johann Adam Hoffmann (31 August 1704 - 12 August 1771) & Anna Maria Helmstädter (18 July 1708 - 27 October 1752), was born about 1740 in Langen-Brombach.

Johann Heinrich Hofmann married on 22 October 1765 in Michelstadt to Margaretha Elisabeth Göttman from Kirch-Brombach.  Following their marriage, they resided in Langenbrombach.

They immigrated to Russia and settled in the colony of Frank on 1 September 1767.  Johann Heinrich Hoffmann, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and daughter Maria Katharina (age ½) are recorded there on the 1767 census Frank in Household No. 90.

The children of Johann Heinrich Hoffmann are recorded on the 1798 census of Frank in Household No. Fk081.

The death of Johannes Hoffmann, son of Johann Heinrich Hoffmann, in 1839 is recorded on the 1850 census of Frank in Household No. 233.

Jakob Hoffmann, son of Johannes Hoffmann, from Frank and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Langenfeld.

The death of [Peter] Karl Hoffmann, son of Johann Heinrich Hoffmann, in 1849 is recorded on the 1850 census of Frank in Household No. 92.

The death of Adam Hoffmann, son of [Peter] Karl Hoffmann, in 1848 is also recorded on the 1850 census of Frank in Household No. 92.

Paul Hoffmann, son of Adam Hoffmann, from Frank and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Langenfeld.

Nikolaus Hoffmann, son of [Peter] Karl Hoffmann, and his family are recorded on the 1850 census of Frank in Household No. 93.

Nikolaus Hoffmann from Frank and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Langenfeld.

The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Hoffmann came from the German village of Langebranich [?] in the Erbach region.
