Johann Conrad Linck from Gelnhaar and Catharina Elisabetha Beck, daughter of Johann Erhard Beck [see Beck family], were married in Wenings on 6 February 1760. Catharina Elisabeth Beck was born on 12 September and baptized on 16 September 1725 in Wenings. The baptisms of three of their children are recorded in the Wenings parish records: (1) Maria Catharina, born 4 June 1761, baptized 5 June 1761; (2) Johann Heinrich, born 18 August 1763, baptized 19 August 1763; and (3) Sibilla Barbara, born 13 February 1765, baptized 17 February 1765.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Walter on 10 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 87 along with their new-born son, Johann Heinrich. The children born in Wenings appear to have died before arriving in Walter.
