Christian Petersen, a farmer, and his wife Christina Charlotta settled in the Volga German colony of Enders on 7 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 1 along with a note that Christian Petersen was serving as the colony's mayor (Vorsteher).
In 1781, Christian Peterson moved from Enders to Moscow.
The 1767 census records that Christian Petersen came from the city of Copenhagen in Denmark.
